CACSM participated in the 34th SCAR Open Science Conference

From 21st to 27th Aug 2016, the 34th SCAR Open Science Conference was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Eight scholars from the Chinese Antarctica Center of Surveying and Mapping (CACSM), Wuhan University, including Professor E Dongchen, Professor Wang Zemin and Professor Pang Xiaoping, participated in this conference. SCAR (Scientific Committee for Antarctic Research) open science conference is held every two years. The theme of this year is the Antarctica in the Global Earth System——from the pole to the tropic. Scholars from the CACSM introduced the recent progress of Chinese surveying and mapping in polar region, and changed opinions with international counterparts on geodesy, geophysics, remote sensing, geographic information and strategic research.
