China's 38th Antarctic Scientific Expedition Team departed from Shanghai

    On November 5th, China's 38th Antarctic Scientific Expedition Team departed from the wharf of the Polar Research Institute of China, Shanghai. The first group of members took the Xuelong Polar Scientific Expedition Ship and went to Zhongshan Station in Antarctica. Wuhan University sent three members to join the team, named Zhang Rucheng, Chen Shuaijun from the Chinese Antarctic Research Center of Surveying and Mapping, and Peng Fang from the College of Life Sciences.
     In addition to the Xuelong, China's 38th Antarctic Scientific Expedition Team will also send Xuelong 2 to Antarctica. Zhang Rucheng took the Xuelong icebreaker to Zhongshan Station. Chen Shuaijun and Peng Fang will take the Xuelong 2 to the Great Wall Station in Antarctica in the middle of this month.
