2019年8月17日至26日，中心周春霞教授、张胜凯副教授、刘婷婷副教授、赵羲副教授、肖峰博士后和博士生屈猛一行六人前往加拿大温尼伯，参加了国际海冰研讨会。该会议由国际冰川协会（IGS）主办。此次会议由加拿大曼尼托巴大学承办，共有350余位国内外学者参会。会议就极地海冰厚度变化、海冰微波遥感、海冰模式模拟等多个热点问题进行了分会讨论。
中心师生在会上作了题为“Accuracy assessment of sea ice concentration derived from newly released FY3D-MWRI”, “Estimation of turbulent heat flux over leads using satellite thermal images”, “A new method to estimate Arctic sea-ice thickness from CryoSat-2 based on least squares”, “Will sea-ice leads in the Beaufort Sea increase as ice becomes thinner?”, “Surface-albedo change trends over the Antarctic sea-ice region during 1982–2015”等2个口头报告和3个海报展示，并与国际同行就极地海冰变化研究开展了交流和讨论。
